What's wrong with the world today?

Upon going to work this afternoon. I toke my usual route--tricycle to the local FX terminal bound to Cubao. And take jeep from Cubao to Gilmore. I arrived at the terminal at 5pm and saw couple of people gathered on the side of the area. They were looking at the Green Toyota Revo, who obviously hit the side of the terminal. I asked manang, one of the locals there what happened. I asked, "Manang ano yon banggaan?" Then she said, "Hindi, barilan lang". I was like--"Huwatt?! barilan lang? Haller?!". I asked manang full details on what happened. Apparently, it happened this morning at around 9:30AM. The driver of the Revo was the jeepney terminal president. He was shot and killed instantly by six gun men who unfortunately escaped. The uniformed officials were not policemen, but from SOCO. They were investigating the scene at that time. I was deeply saddend when manang told me that the driver was with his apo (grand child), who was also shot and killed. Nadamay. The grand son was only one and half yr old. Imagine that?! That helpless little baby boy was killed with no reason at all. I even saw his baby bottle on the dashboard when one of the SOCO personnel opened the passenger door. Upon seeing the scene, no one would have survived because there were gun holes everywhere. The killer's intention were not money but power, kase baka kaaway daw gumawa nun. Tsk.

Sabi nga nila, iba na panahon ngayon. Life is too short for them to take it away just like that. It's really sad to think that the world today is not that safe anymore.

Then upon arriving in the office, my friend (office mate) told me that there was a brutal killing in the local bank somewhere in Laguna.

Read on...

9 killed in Philippine bank robbery, mostly bank employees shot in head

MANILA, Philippines -- At least eight bank employees and a security guard were lined up and shot dead in the head Friday in one of the bloodiest bank robberies in the Philippines, police said. One employee was in critical condition in a hospital.

The victims were found sprawled on the floor of a branch of the Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. in Cabuyao town in Laguna province, south of Manila, after the bank failed to open as scheduled at 9 a.m. and suspicious customers alerted authorities, Chief Superintendent Ricardo Padilla said.

This is the handiwork of the devil and we will not let this pass," Padilla said. "They were killed in a gangland-style execution. Each of the victims shot in the head while lined up."

Padilla said the robbers could have used silencers because residents in the area heard no gunshots coming from the bank.

He said two security guards were missing, leading authorities to suspect they were involved in the robbery. Another police officer, speaking on local radio, said there was no sign of forceful entry. Full Story

Montemar Beach Resort

This is a two-week overdue post. But it's better late than never. Anyway, this is our much awaited zitros family outing for this year. And we truly enjoyed our stay there, even if it's only two days.

May 2 @ exactly 4AM, we left our parent's house with our swimming gear and at around 8AM, we were already there at the site. We had breakfast and lounge around the area. Moments later, we were on the beach. We were all excited, especially me because it was the little angel's first time to see the beach. Proud mother as I am, I was like a papparazi constantly taking pictures of her trying to get her first reaction.

At first, she thinking how the waves worked but somehow she figured it out and enjoyed the sun, water and the waves.

~ Little Angle's first time to hit the beach! ~

The hubby brought his swimming gear and once he hit the water, we can't find him anywhere anymore. That whole afternoon was cloudy, so I enjoyed a good swim.

~ A Whale! Oh no, it's my Brother-In-Law... ~

We ate lunch @ their in-house resto. We rested a few minutes chatting and taking pictures when the kids (little angel and her cousin, Amandine) were so eager to hit the water again. Since it's too hot now to go to beach, we went to the pool instead.

~ Her version of pa-cute. ~

The water in the kiddie pool was up to the little angel's chin but she was never afraid. She was even active to walk around and do her swimming moves...

~ Trying to get a good shot of the little angel in the water. ~

After a few hours in the water, we went back to the hotel room to have a quite nap. The hubby and the little angel was fast asleep that I had a hard time waking them up at 5pm. Then we all went to the beach again to catch the sunset.

~ My sisters, doing some picture taking... ~

Then finally it was sunset. We noticed that everybody on the beach was breathless when the sun went down. And there we were trying to snap a good shot. And this is my version of the sunset. From my point and shoot Olympus underwater digicam.

~ My version of sunset by the beach. ~

After that the lifeguard, gave us the signal to move to the pool since it was already dark. But we went straight to the hotel room again to take a bath. We had dinner at around 8pm and the little angel enjoyed a little company from the kids who were also playing there. At 10pm, the band started to play and the hubby and the little angel went straight to the hotel room to sleep, while I was left there to watch the band. After an hour, I decided to hit the sack too.

May 3 - I forced myself to get up at 5AM to wash the little angel's bottles and gather our swimming gear. I quickly changed into my bathing suit and woke up the hubby and the little kiddo. Then we headed straight to the beach!

~ Little Angel checking out the water again... ~

When everybody was awake, we grab a quick breakfast and headed to the beach again.

~ Mother and daughter moment. ~

~ Checking out the waves... ~

I bought the underwater camera so we can use it during occasions like this. So we took so many pictures near and under the water. Good thing the hubby brought his swimming gear--snorkel and fins, we were able to see a whole new world down there.

~ A whole new world. ~

We also had our pictures taken under water. The shots were too many and some were blurred because it was trial and error. It was very hard to take a snap shot under because it was hard to stay under water. But we manage to take some good shots though.

~ Zitros sister (left); My sister A and her husband (right) ~

After the fun in the sun, we went to our hotel rooms--got dressed and packed our things because it was time to go. We had our last minute picture taking by the beach and on the front gate.

~ The Zitros ~

We had our late lunch at Razon's somewhere in Pampanga and went straight home. It was a fun family trip and I'm still looking forward for more beach get aways like this, so Summer is not over for me.

Summer is not over

I can't believe it's already rainy season. Summer is not over yet for me. We haven't finished our family trips yet. Oh I hope it will not rain this coming Saturday because we planned to go to Subic bay to visit the Zoobic Park. We cannot afford any delays since it's all set. We also plan to go to Puerto Galera with the little angel, but we can't go if it's raining. Tsk.

I hope the rain won't spoil everyone's summer vacation.

I can't believe I missed yesterday's Wordless Wednesday... I was too busy doing paid ops for my other site that I forgot that it's already Wednesday. Oh men!

wine refrigerator

They say the wine is good for the heart. That's why we made sure that we drink wine every once in a while. But do you notice those wine bottles are too bulky on the fridge? Sometimes they occupy a whole lot of space that you cannot use it for other goods and sometimes they get in the way. Now there's wine refrigerator I saw on the Internet that's very convenient for every one. It comes with a neat design too thats suitable on every home.

Post from Saturday

This entry was written in a scratch paper last Saturday morning when I got home work.

+ May 10, 2008 - 5:00AM +

Just got home from work...

Before heading straight home, the hubby and I stopped by at SM Marilao to access their ATM machines. I noticed two persons using the machines--a man and a woman, in their mid-forties wearing their usual house attire--daster/pambahay. I immediately noticed that they were rather doing something that's taking them longer than the usual time to withdraw. I approached the man, and when he saw me, he gathered all his belongings and let me use the machine. Lo and behold, there was like 6 inches of money resting on the side of the machine. He quickly took it and gave it to the woman beside him, whose also using the ATM machine. They tried to hide it from me, but hello, it was too noticeable. The woman quickly put the money in her mail man bag.

There were quite a number of ATM cards that they use to withdraw the money, to which I think is not theirs. I finished my business and walked towards my hubby in the parking lot. The hubby also noticed their business and ask if I got my transaction slip (yes, I did) and I asked why. He said, they could be hackers of ATM cards who are stealing money from other people.

The hubby said, the he lost 1,000 pesos few months back and does not know where it went. He just got zero balance when he was sure that he still have money in it.

The hubby said, that I should get my salary once I get it this coming payday. Mahirap na. Baka ma-trace nila yung card, since I was there daw. And to think it was 4:45 in the morning. Walang tao nun, so nakakahinala talaga.

I jokingly said, "come on... ikaw naman..." But It got me thinking... what if it is true. I don't want to loose my hard earned money that like that. What if these people are really burglars trying to steal from other people? I dunno. Now, I'm thinking of opening another account from another bank.

If these people are really bad, I hope Karma would get back to their wrong doings.

Please take extra cautions guys.

Belated Happy Mother's day!

I'm soo late.... Belated Happy Mother's day to all! This is the thing with no working computer at home--late, late, late and no updates.

I spend the whole Saturday @ SM Marilao with the little angel. We played, strolled, window shopped, rode cars in arcades, ate ice cream... Yep, it's me and the little angel! We really had fun!

Then we celebrated our Sunday by visiting our grandmother (mother's side) in Antipolo. My uncle who was there too with our two cousins, who just arrived from Canada. I finally got my Victoria secret set. Another addition to my collection. So had lunch there and stayed for awhile. Some of our cousins were there and it's so nice to see them with kids already. Then around late afternoon, we went to Trinoma to have lunch at Friday's. Again, I got pictures but I don't have a computer to upload it. Tsk.

I have a lot on my mind right now and I think there's so many things to do. Or at least I think there are... hmmm... Well, I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's day.

Ironman

The hubby and I watched "Ironman" Sunday night @ SM Marilao. We were surprised to see the place packed with many Ironman fanatics. Personally, I am not a Ironman fan. I don't even know the story from the comic book. But I'm a movie enthusiast. So anything in the big screen is fine with me.

I kinda like Tony Sparks' character in the movie. And oh boy... talk about having brains and money at the same. Imagine, he was able to build his first Ironman suit from scratch and inside a cave. I also like Pepper's character. She's so dedicated to her work and she does not mix personal life with her work priorities. It's good to see Gwyneth Partlow in the big screen again.

~ Tony Spark as Ironman ~

I read just now that there's sneak preview of the sequel shown after the credits with Samuel L. Jackson in it. Too bad, we already left the movie house. Hubby and I were not suppose to leave yet because we were still listening to the soundtrack. Yeah, the OST rocks! But then when I saw the area, we were the only ones left seated there. It's like everybody was out right after the movie. Since it's already late, I asked the hubby to go home. Too bad.

Then my sister A texted me earlier, that's she's going to watch Ironman again! Addict! All in all, it's a must-see movie. But then again, I'll just wait for the DVD to come out. For now, hubby and I are planning to see Forbidden Kingdom--if we have time.

Phentermine no prescription

There are a lot of diet pills in the market today. And I must say that I'm starting to be afraid to try one myself, since I am not sure on the quality of the product. All consumers wants quality and effective products that works, of course. And the in demand today is the diet pills, since most people I know are conscious about their figure. And I think, Phentermine no prescription is the product of us. I've read a lot positive feedbacks about this and I hope this is the one for us.

market research

There are a lot of potential business nowadays and some even take the risk even if they are still new in the business. Of course, even I would would love to have and manage my own business but I know it takes some time and the right strategy to do it. Some may do market research and study the profit and shares. I would do that same thing, just to avoid bankruptcy.
